Policies, forms &
documentation requirements for service requests
Ordering
credit reports
- All report requests can be made via Advantage Online. This includes
first time orders, re-orders and upgrades.
Credit reports cannot be ordered
via telephone. Reports may be upgraded via the phone provided the person
requesting the upgrade can authenticate information concerning the report
and the account originally ordering the report.
How
to order an Accurate Credit
- The mortgage broker and consumer must review the credit report. Items
that the consumer feels are inaccurate should be addressed.
- The consumer contacts each creditor with inaccurate information listed
and requests a credit reference letter.
- The mortgage broker contacts Advantage Credit Customer Service and
discusses the request. The Advantage representative will go over pricing,
explain the process, answer any questions the mortgage broker has and
will fax a disclaimer form to the broker. The disclaimer form must be
signed by the broker and returned to Advantage Credit prior to any documentation
being sent to the credit bureaus.
- Within 24 hours of receiving the documentation for the corrections,
the Advantage Customer Service representative will contact the mortgage
broker if any documentation problems exist, contact each creditor to
verify the letters, and then will fax information to the bureaus reporting
the account.
- After all contacted bureaus have confirmed that corrections have been
made, Advantage Credit will generate a brand new report. If all items
were corrected then the report will be sent back to the mortgage broker
to review.
- The charge for this product is posted to the mortgage broker's account.
No payment from the consumer should be sent directly to Advantage Credit.

Borrower's signed authorization
form
This form should always be sent
to Advantage Credit by fax when a customer service request is made or
when a Residential Mortgage Credit Report is ordered. The purpose for
this is to speed up the processing of your request. Most creditors require
it from us because they consider Advantage Credit a third party and will
not release account information to us without it.
Ordering
a business, Canadian, or other international credit report
Simply contact Advantage Credit
and speak to a Customer Service representative. They can provide pricing,
what information we will need to place the order, give information on
the turnaround time and fax you the order form and disclaimer form. You
can also access the forms from this website by clicking here.
Full completion of the order
form is needed to complete the request. You will retrieve these reports
the same way as your standard credit reports from Advantage Online. The
charge will be assessed to the mortgage broker's account who requested
the report and no payment should be sent to Advantage Credit directly
from the consumer.
- For a business report, provide the full business name, full business
address, tax identification number and phone number.
- For a Canadian report, provide the full name of the consumer, full
Canadian address and Canadian Social Security number.
- For other international reports, provide the full name of the consumer,
full country address and requestor's name/phone number, and our International
credit reporting expert will contact you. Each country has different
